Illustration Friday: Subtract

+ Another hard word this week, but i thought this was a cool solution, a bit of help from my co-worker on the numerical aspect of the drawing, and my girlfriend thought to make it more of an illustration i should include more drawn elements, so i added the paper, pencil, and eraser dust.
This was truly a collaboration on all fronts, It's nice to have other people help out when your stuck!

Stamp Collection

+ I dont collect stamps, I dont know why they have kitchen ware on them- However, the 2 cent stamp with the fig newtons- Brian Regan has a bit about how the serving size of Fig Newtons is two cookies.

_if you dont know who he is you should educate yourself quickly! haha

Dream Homes

+ A spread from my sketchbook, it started with the man in his bed and i just dreaw what came to mind. I like the houses separating, in a way it makes a comment on all the "broken homes" in the world.

Apple Tree

+ Whats not to like about a bright, clear, summer day with a full shaped, curiously hatched- apple tree?

Illus. friday: Intricate

+ A wasp nest is a perfect example of how nature can prove to be the most intricate force in life. Not only in it's creation of the wasp, but the wasp's creation of its nest. A very great undertaking, crafted with instinct and precision.
+ Another form of Intricacy is that of evolution. Making subtle but distinct differences, in this case, elongating the abdomen of a wasp in order for it to better access the chambers in its nest when laying it's larva.
